There are two complete books in this volume. The first book comes from the Peeps from History series. You'll notice throughout the online library are books from the Peeps from Many Lands and Peeps from History series. I think you'II enjoy reading them and this will give you a sample of what they're like.There weren't as many options to choose from for the story of Spain. When I first started reading these old history books, there was a definite bias against Spain. But the more I read, the more I understood where that dislike came from. Although I'm sure it doesn't represent every Spanish person, a spirit of greed and quest for gold took hold of many Spanish adventurers who committed cruel and heartless acts. The book I selected, A Child's History of Spain, offers an overview of the history of Spain from the days long before the Roman Conquest to the late 1600s.
